These happy birthday coloring pages have cakes, balloons and party animals, and the page also holds sheets for other days you celebrate. You will find 12 in all, covering Mother's Day, Father's Day, St Patrick's Day, New Year, Lunar New Year and Earth Day.
Every sheet is a free printable holiday coloring page for Letter or A4 paper. Send one straight to the printer, or save the file ahead of the big day with the Download button. For invitations and cupcake toppers, our birthday clipart matches these, and the St Patrick's Day clipart works for March worksheets.
Happy Birthday Coloring Pages
Cakes, balloons and party hats never go out of style. Each of these birthday pages has a blank banner or card space so kids can write the name and age by hand.
A three layer cake with five candles sits under a blank banner. Kids write the birthday child's name in the banner before coloring.
Try this Have the class write the birthday child's name on the banner and give the pages as a card stack.
A bear, a bunny and a giraffe wear cone hats and hold balloons around a pile of gifts. Streamers and confetti fill the top.
Try this Put copies at each seat at a party and let guests color while everyone arrives.
Cupcakes, gift boxes, balloons and candles repeat in a tight pattern across the page. It is a longer project for older kids or a parent.
Try this Color it, then use it as wrapping paper for a small gift like a book or a bracelet.
Mother's Day and Father's Day Coloring Pages
A colored page makes an easy homemade gift. These three show flowers for mom, a big hug and a dad and kid outdoors.
A teacup overflows with tulips, roses and daisies, and a blank heart tag hangs from the handle. It makes a sweet card front.
Try this Have kids write Mom inside the heart tag and glue the page onto folded cardstock.
A mom kneels to hug her child while hearts float around them. The simple outfits leave room for kids to add patterns.
Try this Ask kids to draw their own family member in the space and add three things they love about them.
A dad and kid sit on a wooden dock with fishing rods, a tackle box and a dog beside them. The lake and trees fill the background.
Try this Kids color it for Father's Day or a happy birthday dad card and write a favorite memory on the back.
St Patrick's Day Coloring Pages
Shamrocks, rainbows and gold coins make March fun. These St Patrick's Day coloring pages are free, printable and full of green.
A big three-leaf shamrock with a happy face and a curly stem. Preschoolers can fill it with one green crayon.
Try this Teach the number three by counting the leaves, then glue green tissue paper squares on top.
A wide rainbow lands in a pot spilling gold coins, with clovers growing around it. Kids can practice rainbow color order.
Try this Have first graders count the coins and write the total on the pot.
A cheerful leprechaun with a curly beard dances a jig in a tall hat, vest and buckled shoes. Shamrocks frame the page.
Try this Ask kids to write a short story about where the leprechaun hid his gold.
New Year, Earth Day and Holiday Coloring Pages
These three cover more days to celebrate across the year: a New Year countdown, a Lunar New Year parade and a happy Earth for Earth Day.
Fireworks burst over a big clock pointing to midnight, with noisemakers and party hats below. Fine sparks add detail.
Try this Have kids write one goal for the new year on the back after they finish coloring.
A long parade dragon with scales and a fluffy mane winds under round paper lanterns. The scales give older kids plenty to color.
Try this Read about Lunar New Year customs, then color the dragon in red and gold for a hallway display.
A smiling Earth holds a small sapling while trees, a bike and a recycling bin sit nearby. It suits a spring science lesson.
Try this Talk about three ways to help the planet, then have kids draw one of them in the corner.
Turning a Coloring Page into a Card
- Print on cardstock. Thick paper stands up and does not wrinkle under markers.
- Add the words by hand. Our pages have no printed text, so kids write Happy Birthday, Thank You or Get Well Soon in the banner, tag or sky. It is real handwriting practice.
- Fold and trim. Trim the sheet to half size, then mount it on the cover of the card.
- Write inside. Even a short line like "You are a great dad" means a lot.
The teacup flowers page makes a lovely get well soon card, and the party animals work as a thank you note after a party.

Birthday Party Coloring Station
Set a table near the door with a stack of the cake and party animal pages, a cup of crayons and a few glue sticks. Guests who arrive early have something to do, and shy kids get an easy way to join in. Add a bowl of star stickers and some ribbon scraps so the pages can be decorated after coloring.
At the end, send each guest home with their page rolled up and tied with a ribbon. It doubles as a party favor that costs almost nothing to make.
Questions people ask
Are these happy birthday coloring pages free?
Yes. Use them for a party at home, a class birthday, a library event or a card for grandma. Credit is up to you. The sheets may not be resold, and we would like to hear from you before any page is used on a product that is sold.
Can I add a name to the birthday coloring pages?
Yes. The cake page has a blank banner and the gift pattern has open spaces. Write the name and age with a marker before printing copies, or let each child write it themselves.
Do you have Mother's Day and Father's Day coloring pages?
Yes. There is a teacup full of flowers, a mom and child hug and a dad and kid fishing. The fishing page also works as a happy birthday dad card.
What St Patrick's Day coloring pages are easy?
The smiling shamrock is the easiest, with three round leaves and thick lines for ages 3 to 5. The rainbow with a pot of gold is a good next step for kindergarten and first grade.
Are there Chinese New Year coloring pages?
Yes. The Lunar New Year page shows a parade dragon under paper lanterns. It is detailed, so it suits ages 8 and up, and it looks great in red and gold.
Do you have get well soon or thank you coloring pages?
We do not print words on the sheets, but several pages work well for these notes. Use the teacup flowers for get well soon and the party animals for thank you, and have kids write the words in the open space.
