Our spring coloring pages celebrate the season when gardens wake up, lambs wobble around the field and April rain fills every puddle. There are 12 printable sheets here: tulips and bouquets, a young gardener with seed packets, ducklings in rain boots, a March kite and a butterfly mandala for grown-ups.
Each one is free for home and class. Hit Print for a copy right now, or Download to save the picture and print a stack later. Bunnies and eggs live on our Easter coloring pages, and if you want more blooms, the flower coloring pages have a whole bouquet of them.
Spring Flower Coloring Pages
Flowers are the easiest way into spring. Start tiny artists on one tulip, then work up to a full wreath of blossoms.
A single tulip stands in a clay pot with two long leaves. The petals are big enough for a fat crayon or a dot marker.
Try this Let preschoolers press painted fingertips onto the petals, then fill the pot with brown crayon.
Daisies, tulips and daffodils grow in a neat bed while two butterflies flutter above. A small fence runs along the front.
Try this Have first graders count each kind of flower and write the totals in a tally chart beside the page.
A full circle of cherry blossoms, buds, ferns and tiny berries with lots of small petals. It suits soft pinks and fresh greens.
Try this Color the wreath, cut out the middle and use it as a paper frame around a spring photo.
Garden Coloring Pages
These garden pages follow a seed from the packet to the harvest. They pair nicely with a bean sprout experiment on the classroom windowsill.
A round watering can pours big drops onto three sprouts poking out of the dirt. Kids can make each drop a different blue.
Try this Pre-K classes can color it on the day they plant real seeds in paper cups, then compare later.
A young gardener in a sun hat kneels by a row of seed packets, a trowel and a basket of carrots. A worm peeks out to watch.
Try this Second graders can number the steps of planting a seed around the edge before they color.
A stone path winds past raised beds to a glass greenhouse, with a birdhouse on a post and climbing roses. Every stone and pane is its own space.
Try this Color it a little each day of spring break and track how many minutes it took on the back.
Cute Spring Coloring Pages with Baby Animals
Spring is baby animal season on the farm and in the backyard. These cute spring coloring pages are sweet without being too busy.
A curly lamb smiles in a patch of daisies. The wool is drawn as big bumps that are fun to fill with circles.
Try this Kindergarten can glue torn white tissue paper onto the wool for a bumpy texture craft.
Three ducklings in tiny rain boots hop through a puddle under a dripping umbrella. Their mother waddles behind.
Try this Use it with a rhyming lesson: kids circle and color everything that rhymes with duck or puddle.
A robin brings a worm to three open-beaked chicks in a woven nest. Blossoms and leaves crowd the branch.
Try this Fourth graders can add a fact label for each part of the bird, like beak, wing and tail feathers.
March, April and May Coloring Pages
One page for each spring month gives you an easy calendar plan. Pull out the kite in March, the rain cloud in April and the butterfly in May.
Two kids race up a hill as their diamond and fish kites swoop on long tails. The wind lines make the sky fun to color.
Try this Tie in a March science talk about wind, then let kids decorate each kite tail with a pattern.
A happy cloud drips fat raindrops onto an open umbrella with a frog hiding underneath. It is quick and cheerful.
Try this Read a rainy day picture book, then have little ones color and add blue sticker dots as raindrops.
A symmetrical butterfly whose wings hold tiny flowers, dots and swirls. It is a relaxing pick for adults and older kids.
Try this Color matching wings in mirror colors, then hang it as a May Day welcome sign on the front door.
Which Spring Page Fits Which Child
| Level | Ages | Pages to try | Best tools |
|---|---|---|---|
| Easy | 3 to 6 | Tulip pot, watering can, lamb, April rain cloud | Dot markers, chunky crayons |
| Medium | 5 to 10 | Flower bed, child gardener, ducklings, March kites | Crayons, washable markers |
| Detailed | 9 to adult | Blossom wreath, greenhouse path, robin nest, butterfly mandala | Colored pencils, gel pens |
Spring colors pop when you pick a fresh set: leaf green, buttercup yellow, sky blue and a soft pink. Ask kids to choose four crayons only. The limit makes the page look planned and stops the brown muddy mix that happens when every color goes on at once.
Printing Tips for Spring Sheets
The pages come as tall images that cover a full US Letter or A4 sheet. Set the print size to "fit to page" and the edges stay safe. Copy paper is fine for crayons. If kids plan to paint the flowers with watercolor, use heavy paper or cardstock so it dries flat.
For a spring break pack of coloring pages, print one easy, one medium and one detailed page per child and staple them inside a folded sheet of construction paper. To save a set as a PDF, choose save as PDF in the print window.
Spring Activities for the Classroom
- Plant journal: Use the garden pages as covers for a bean growth log. Add small plant clipart to each day's entry.
- Season wheel: Pair the March, April and May sheets with summer, fall and winter pictures to teach the four seasons.
- Hallway garden: Line a hallway with colored flower beds and add butterfly clipart above them.
- Kindness blooms: Kids write one kind act on each tulip petal before they color.
For a classroom welcome sign or newsletter header, our spring clipart has matching flowers and sunshine.

Yes. They cost nothing for families, teachers and homeschool groups, and you can make as many copies as your class needs. Naming our site is kind but not required. Just do not sell them as they are or as a pack, and drop us a note on the Contact page before adding them to anything for sale.
